Utah State Fair

Every year we go to the Utah State Fair as a family - usually on family night when kids 12 and under are free and adults get in for the price of a child. The only bad thing about this is we had a 13 year old now. Oh well - not as cheap as it used to be for us, but definitely worth the trip.

The skies were looking pretty scary as we were heading up to Salt Lake. Sure enough as we entered the area, it started to rain. Luckily we had umbrellas and most of what we like to see at the fair is indoors.

(Camille has her own camera that she willingly takes pictures with, so most of these are from her camera - She is really good and takes pictures of things that I wouldn't have thought to take one of. The top picture of the rain she took - isn't it a cool picture.) Carter & Parker

The kids love looking at the cool butter sculptures every year - they never cease to amaze us - Carter & Parker loved it!

Here is a cool picture that Camille took.

We went to a really cool alligator show. We waited for about 1 hour for it to begin. We wanted to make sure we got covered seating since it was still raining pretty hard. The show was definitely worth the wait. It was hilarious and very entertaining. Bradley even enjoyed watching. After the show we were able to get a picture with a baby alligator.
Tanner, Camille & Johnathan waiting in line to get the picture.
An awesome picture taken by one of the workers at the show - I thought it turned out great. Tanner, Camille, Bradley, Johnathan, Carter & Parker
Here are the kids petting the alligator after the picture. They were very brave and loved the cool feel of the scales on the alligator.

We had a great night. I actually loved the fact that it rained because there were a lot less people than normal and so it wasn't as crowded. I think this was one of my favorite times going in a few years.

So fun! We went to the Utah State Fair too. Kayla had a 4-H entry that got chosen from our County Fair to be there and we went to see it. My kids did the fishing pond there and my 3 yr old ended up falling in! Luckily, it was at the end of our day there!

Wow you saw a lot of great things at the fair. I loved the butter carvings or whatever you call them.
Camille really is a good photographer. I loved her pictures.
I haven't even seen a place that let you pet the alligators. Just like "The Happiest Millionaire".
It looks like all of you had a wonderful educational time.

I love fairs but did not make it to one this year. That alligator is really cool, not sure if I would hold it, but it is cool.

How fun. I've never been to the state fair, but I love going to the county fairs we've been to.
