December Happenings 2

Byron Team Party at work - Byron has team parties every once in a while and wanted to plan something a little different this time around.  He ended up having them all go up to Salt Lake where they met with a man who taught them how to make sushi and California rolls.  Byron was so excited for this activity as he loves this type of food.  It was a really fun activity which was enjoyed by all.  Below is Byron with the California roll he made.

Camille Encore Christmas concert - Camille absolutely loves being in Encore.  She had her first concert on December 5th where her choir performed Parade of Soldiers, Nuttin for Christmas, The Holly and the Ivy and Dawning of Christmas.  She also had the awesome opportunity of singing "Who Would Imagine a King" by herself.  Miss Nudd played the piano for her.  She did such an amazing job.  We all got a good laugh out of her.  She had 4 microphones that she could go up to and sing with.  She tried one of them - it being too tall went for a second, then tried a third as they were all too tall.  She then decided to stick with it as she lifted her head up as she sang.  We just thought it was funny that she didn't want to lower any of them which would have been quicker.  She did a fabulous job and got so many compliments afterwards.

Camille is on the bottom left 3rd in.
 Singing solo
It was so fun to have Dad and Mom Adamson  and Melissa come to her concert.

Soccer - These boys absolutely love playing soccer.  Tanner is great at rounding up the boys to go outside almost every day and kick the ball around.  Since we have gotten snow it has been a sad say in the life of especially Tanner since he cannot go outside anymore.  They are all excited to have it melt away.

Santa Claus - Our ward party was on a night when Byron wasn't around and I really didn't have the desire to attend the party by myself.  So we went early to see Santa then went somewhere to eat dinner.  Santa was so cute with the kids.  Carter, Parker and Bradley sat on his lap.  The others were great to let me get a picture of the kids all together.

School - I love seeing some of the cool projects that the kids do at school or work on at home for school.  Carter spent a lot of time working on this book report.  He needed to get an empty box and cover it with things from his book.  He has such great handwriting and did a fabulous job with the pictures.

Carter's Elf said, "All I want for Christmas - I need . . . . help to not fight.  I want . . . a IPod touch.  I will give a pack of gum and an art project to my brother Johnathan.  Thank you Carter  P.S.  It would be also nice if . . . my family wasn't sick any more."

Bradley came home with this cool hat.
Parker had this letter attached to the cute Elf he made below.  It says, "All I want for Christmas is something I can drive on like a motorcycle.  I need nothing.  I am giving a painted bobble head kit so you paint the bobble head and it's clay that is all ready formed and it comes with two bobble heads and I bought it with my own money.  Thank you Santa."
Chess Merit Badge - On December 8th, the scouts had a chess merit badge/competition.  I bought a new chess game for Tanner and Johnathan to get some practice with.  They are both actually really good at the game.  They have tried to teach me a few times, but I just really prefer to stick with checkers - too many rules to learn.

Johnathan and Tanner playing during the competition with Austin and Michael Hinckley.
Johnathan playing against Sam Wilcox.  Their was not a shortage of treats for these boys :).
 Tanner playing against Cole Jensen.
Tanner took 3rd place, James Linton 1st place, Jayden Cowan took 4th place and Reggie Northrup took 2nd place
Tanner got a 2 liter of pop after the competition and was pretty excited about it.  They both seemed to have a really fun time.
Bradley- Bradley loves having friends over after school.  He has gotten to be really good friends with Luke Lavery this year along with Logan Lane.  These perler beads have had endless hours of fun among Bradley's friends.

Cadan came over one afternoon and they had a great time being together - along with acting silly!

Bradley is such a creative guy.  He loves to make things out of anything he can find around the house.  When all of the siblings are down watching TV or playing something electronic, he is usually found playing with his Legos or making something.  He found some boxes and decided to make a house.  He even has an attached garage.

I had to add this picture of Carter and I.  I just love this kid.  He is so great at making sure he comes around and gives me a hug every evening before heading to bed regardless of where I might be.  I look forward to that hug.
