January Happenings

Byron and I came home from going out to these two cuties laying on the couch together.  I have loved seeing Johnathan and Bradley get so close this past year.  Bradley has hated having his own room for quite some time.  He asks almost every night if he can sleep with Johnathan.  I also love how if Bradley needs help with something he will ask Johnathan most of the time because he has the patience to help him.
Tanner's Arsenal Soccer Team started a season of futsal.  They split into two teams and played once a week for about 2 months.  I really enjoyed watching these games.  They were very fast paced and only lasted about 45 minutes total.  I had never seen futsal played before.  The ball is weighted a little and a little smaller than the normal soccer ball.  There are also 5 players on each team so a lot of running around.  Tanner gets such a great workout and thoroughly loves it.

Carter, Bradley and Parker enjoying the game.

Carter and Parker made these cool bowls in class this year.  Unfortunately the one on the right broke in one spot.  I love their creativity.
Bradley put together his own drum set and had a great time making some fun music one day.  This boy always has something going on.

Winter Wonderland

We continue to get more and more snow.  The kids enjoy every opportunity they can get outside playing in it.  We have these huge icicles forming off of our house in the backyard.  The kids love breaking them down and sucking on them.  Not sure how clean these are, but they sure entertain for quite some time.  We also had fun going to Centennial Park with Byron to go sledding.  It is always so much more fun with Byron there.

New Years Eve

Another New Years Eve - how can they possibly come and go so quickly?  We celebrated up at the Beck's house.  Jeff and Emily's family was there along with Eric and Melissa.  We all had a great time.  We played games all night.  Some of us played Telestrations, scum, Connect 4 and
Prudo.  Everybody had a great time especially the cousins loved getting together.  I thought it was so funny going downstairs to see all of the boys with their electronic devices playing games either connecting with each other or doing their own thing.  Pretty boring in my book, but they love it.  We spent the night which was nice to just go to bed instead of having to drive home after midnight.  (Parker- stripes, Carter- gray)

On New Years we went together to see "Here Comes the Boom."  It was such a fun family movie.

Cadan made me laugh.  Him and Bradley were watching Spiderman and Cadan was giving a step by step commentary to Bradley about what was going to happen.  I guess he really likes this show:).

Sledding - Jeff and Emily invited us over to sled in Eagle Mountain at the amphitheater.  It was truly the perfect place for sledding.  I took the 3 youngest boys as Tanner, Johnathan and Byron were at the Madden Tournament (see below).  It was pretty cold to where my feet felt like falling off after 10 minutes, but this didn't stop these kids. There were so many areas where they could go down.  I also loved trying out my new camera.
Carter - he was going so fast I almost didn't get him.
Parker - love this as his hat has fallen over his eyes.
Cute Bradley not even afraid of the huge hills.
Bradley, Cadan and Alyssa going down on a baby mattress they found at the amphitheater.  It really didn't go anywhere, but they had fun trying.
Jeff trying out his surfing skills on the mattress also.  It was pretty hilarious as he had to jump his body forward to even get it to go anywhere.
Parker, Cameron, Cooper and Carter going down together.
Jeff took Bradley down and he had a blast.
Cadan found a piece of cardboard that he used as his sled.  It actually worked pretty good.
I need to take the rest of my kids another time - this was the perfect sledding location and really not too far from home.
Christmas presents - Parker and Bradley finally had an opportunity to try out their Christmas presents at the church parking lot.  They both had huge smiles on their faces and had a fun time.

Madden Tournament - Brother Rindlisbacher has been having this tournament since Tanner was 11 years old.  It started at his house and now has grown to the church.  The boys all get so excited for this activity.  They set up TV's all over and have a tournament.  Tanner and Keawe Kaaihue played together at first with Tanner winning that first round.  Johnathan played against Reggie Northrup with Reggie winning.  They all seemed like they had a fun time.

Dec. 28, 2012

The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins.   This was the first time they had seen them since Christmas.  Cadan brought over his "Angry Bird's" game to teach Bradley.  The other kids spent most of the time outside playing in either our backyard or at the park going down the hill.  We are so fortunate to live so close to cousins.  They love spending time with them.

Bradley and Cadan playing in the backyard since their mean aunt/mom wouldn't let them go to the park.
 Parker having fun sledding.

Alyssa, Parker (green), and Carter (blue) building a cool snow cave.
Cooper, Camille, Cameron, Johnathan, Ashlyn, Tanner and I had fun playing Telestrations with everyone.
Parker showing me his cool snow cave.  He was even able to climb into it - very impressive!
Another funny Bradley moment.  He was having fun in this laundry basket not wanting to come out and not wanting anybody to take the blankets off.  Byron came home from work about this time and was having a lot of fun with him.  He lifted him up and then put him back down on the carpet, but told him that he put him on top of the fridge.  Bradley started freaking out, but then soon realized that he was actually still on the ground.  We were all laughing so hard.  He makes our days never dull for sure.
