Halloween

Our annual pumpkin carving - I try to observe as much as the kids will let me.  It is nice the older they get how much more they can do on their own.  I usually only end up carving out the face they have drawn on their pumpkin then they do the rest.  Bradley is still not sure about the slimy part.  I love seeing the creativity of each child and what they chose to be their design.

Parker did "BYU" on his pumpkin - it looks really cool when lit up.
Johnathan's cool pumpkin.

Camille was going for something that was a little more detailed. She was also great to help Bradley with his as he just scraped the outside to create his picture - he did a bat and a moon.  Camille carved a cool Mario pumpkin.  It really turned out cool.

The school parade is always so fun.  Here are my cute kids while walking around the school.

Bradley with his cute pumpkin after preschool - he was so excited to dress up for school.  He came home with this darling pumpkin.
We had fun making carmel apples.

Parker decorating his yummy apple.
The evening of Halloween was amazing!  The weather was absolutely perfect.  I don't remember it being this warm for a long time.  Most of the kids went out in short sleeves.  I love having happy children because the weather is comfortable.  We always go up to Dad & Mom Beck's house after the kids do our neighborhood.  This year they were out of town, so it was really weird staying home all evening.  The kids were able to do all of our neighborhood and then some.  It was relaxing not having to travel anywhere.  Melissa came and visited us.  It was fun to have her here for a short time.  We went up and visited Uncle Dennis and Aunt Sherlene.
Carter & Parker
My cute pirate all tuckered out.  Camille was so sweet to take him around and went at his pace.  I loved being able to stay home and give treats to those who came to our house.  It was fun to be surprised with my own children ringing the doorbell every once in a while.

Parker & Carter with their huge stash.  Byron went with them alone and practically ran from house to house with them.  They got so much candy - it was crazy!

Johnathan & Tanner  with their stash also.  They had fun going without any adults along with Kobe Mickelson, Preston Morgan & Trent Hall.  They even hit the neighborhood above ours.

Fall pictures - Oct. 28, 2011

This year for pictures we only had the kids do them.  I was able to find a lady on KSL that is currently going to UVU and didn't charge very much while she is putting together her portfolio.  We met up at the American Fork Flour Mill and am so pleased with the way the pictures all turned out.  I guess my kids are pretty photogenic when they want to be:).   Parker (striped shirt), Carter (blue)

October fun

BYU Football - Oct. 22 - We have bought BYU season tickets for quite a few years now.  This year was a really crazy year to have them, though.  Byron was only able to go to about 4 of the home games which gave us the opportunity to sell them instead.  Then the couple of games that Byron could go, Tanner had soccer games during that time.   So between both of these things, this was the only home game I was able to attend.   Bradley was so excited to attend his first game.  He looked so cute in his hat, shirt and the "Y" Camille drew on his cheek.  We enjoyed the pre-game show and got many free things including a backpack.  It was a fun game!

We met up with Jeff and Ashlyn to see her ride the bucking bronco.  She did awesome and kept on getting back on after getting bucked off.

Gardner Village - Oct. 24  - Allyson had never been to Gardner Village, so it was fun to meet up with her and go with her.  Cute Eliza didn't want Camille to hold her even though Camille insisted that she needed to come to her.  The crew - Myles, Parker, Bradley, Johnathan, Carter, Tanner, Eliza, Camille & Rose.

Oh no - this will be Camille next year - pretty scary:)

So fun to live close to Allyson.  I love her and love getting the kids together to chat and let them play.

After Allyson left we headed over to the bakery for some donuts - yum!~
Bradley Fire station - Oct. 26 -  Bradley had been anticipating this field trip for some time.  The fireman are so great to let the kids come and tour their facility.  They started out by watching a cartoon about safety.  Then they were able to go into the garage to see the yellow fire truck and ambulance.  The kids all enjoyed the cool tour and even got a fire hat and badge at the end.

Halloween Ward party - Oct. 26 - Byron was up in Park City with work, so we went without him to the Ward Party.  Camille also was busy with play practice, so she was unable to attend also.  The kids enjoyed dressing up in their costumes.  We made a large pot of potato soup and were on our way.  The committee did an amazing job with decorations and games.  They played "Minute to Win It."  Tanner was able to play the game on the donut eating contest from a string.
