Soccer Mania

Having 4 children in soccer at the same time is called insanity:). We are running all week long to either practices or games. All four boys practice at different areas and they all play at different places. Sometimes I wonder why we are doing this when I miss games completely as I am driving another child to a game. We only have 2 more weeks and then my evenings will calm down. In the meantime, the kids are having a great time and Bradley gets so much park time - which he definitely doesn't complain about.
THE WONDER TWINS - Carter & Parker are so fun to watch out on the field. They are usually the smallest players on the field, but are full of fire. They are so fast and can run after the ball quickly. They are not scared at all of the ball and are very aggressive. Their assistant coach calls them the "Wonder Twins." I get a kick out of this name - he will yell "go Wonder Twins" during the game and soon other parents are also calling them this. They absolutely love soccer and are really good. They need to learn to work together more, but that hopefully will come with age. (above Parker on left and Carter on right.)

JOHNATHAN - Johnathan loves soccer and is getter a lot more aggressive this year. Unfortunately he has only 9 players show up to most of the games, so the boys don't ever get a break during that hour. Johnathan hangs in there and is really good at running after the ball and trying to kick it the other direction or towards their goal. I have decided that soccer is a great way to get exercise. The kids practically come home from practices or games and crash.

TANNER - This is Tanner's first year playing soccer. He has played flag football in the past, but is tired of getting told by his coach every move he makes on the field. He has played soccer with his brothers for many years, though and loves to play at school during recess. Tanner is pretty much good at any sport he tries. His coach was surprised when Byron told him this was his first year playing soccer. It is fun to watch his team play - where the kids are more coordinated and pass the ball to each other. Tanner has enjoyed playing this year and is good at keeping up with the ball on the field.

First of all, way to go on all this blogging! Second, that looks like a great sport for your kids! It's fun to see all their pictures.

I know it takes a lot of time and stress on your behalf. Watching your children play capture the flag I totally understand why they like soccer and are good at it.
Hang in their it will be all worth it in the end.
Hopefully it is their only sport at this time.
I remember Jared would spend a lot of time playing sports with his friends and he was never hard to get to sleep. Sometimes we'd panic realizing we hadn't seen him for awhile and he would have crawled into bed.

How fun. We are in the middle of soccer mania right now but luckily it is only Tuesdays and Thursdays.
