Fishing

Byron has wanted to learn to fish for a very long time. He went once as a youth, but didn't learn enough to be able to teach his kids. This summer my dad asked my Uncle Rob if he would take Byron out on his fishing boat to teach him all about fishing.

Byron went out and bought himself a fishing pole and a starter kit. He was so excited! On Labor Day- September 7th - Byron & Tanner left at 5:15 a.m. to get up to Uncle Rob's house. They ended up going with my Uncle Jay, his son Spencer, Uncle Rob and his daughter Sarah. They went up to East Canyon Reservoir. Uncle Rob was an excellent teacher. Tanner & Byron had a great time.

Here are all of the fish they caught (13 to be exact).
Here is Tanner & Sarah with all the fish.
Byron & Tanner brought home 3 fish. That night Byron BBQ'd them. I can't say I am a huge fish lover, but the fish sure tasted good. Byron added the perfect seasonings and cooked them to perfection.

They had such a great time. Byron is excited to take the rest of our family out to fish now and show us all the cool things he learned.

I'm so glad that they all had a great time. Those were some pretty good fish. Your Dad will be jealous when he sees these pictures. He misses Utah fishing.

That's just not right. That is another thing I really miss about Utah. You guys have some of the best fishing. You would think the Northwest would have amazing fishing and we do but you really need a boat to catch the Salmon and Stealhead. It is cool they were able to catch so many fish on their first trip!
