Some more Easter fun

We were procrastinators in dying eggs this year.  We were going to roll eggs with my family so had to make sure to do this fun activity.

Then we headed up to Grandpa and Grandma Adamson's help to help them with some yard work.  We started by getting rid of the cement where they had a huge root causing it to be uneven.  The kids had such a great time pounding down with the sludge hammer.  They were really good helpers.  Dad also had bought 6 fruit trees and was sick previous so he hadn't gotten them planted.  It was fun to help them plant the trees.  The boys were great hole diggers and then we were able to plant the trees.

Carter was so awesome to stick to digging this hole.  There was a huge root so it was really a hard area to dig.  He was sure proud when it was finally done.

Then Grandma had an Easter egg hunt for us in her backyard.  Camille and I hid all of the eggs.  The kids sure had fun finding them.  Allyson came over with her kids and we had a fun time together.  These eggs even had money inside - my kids were pretty excited about that.  I'd say mom is starting something here that she most likely won't be able to stop from year to year:).

They have an elementary school really close to their house where we went to roll eggs.  We had a fun time.  The sprinklers kept on turning on and off for about 30 second increments so we had to be careful.  We have rolled eggs for many years, but I am not sure if we have ever done it with my parents (my mom actually did this when she was a child so it was so fun to do it with her).  Diedre (Adam's girlfriend) came along with us.  Her egg pretty much would not break no matter what she did.

That evening Byron attended the Priesthood session with his two boys.  Afterwards they went to Wienerschnitzel for some food.  Johnathan got 4 corndogs for $2 with a promotion where he won one on the stick.  Tanner ate a junkyard dog.  Then they had a sundae.  What a fun tradition Byron has started with the boys and hopefully will continue.  They sure look forward to spending time with their dad.
