Camille surgery - October 19

Camille has had her share of problems with her teeth.  She has a particular tooth that Dr. Taylor (our orthodontist) has been waiting 9 months to come down - it just hasn't budged.  The only way to fix this problem was to go to an oral surgeon, they expose the tooth, add a bracket to that tooth and then they put a chain on it to bring it down.  Camille was absolutely terrified to do this.  Luckily they put her to sleep for the procedure or I think she might have fainted.  The hardest part was the waiting.  They took us back to the room and we waited about 20 minutes.  During that time Camille started freaking out.  She was also very cold and shivering.  They were so nice to bring her a blanket.  She did awesome!  After about 40 minutes she was done.  She was so funny after I came in.  She was talking about how her lips she couldn't feel at all.   I got a few good laughs.  She doesn't remember any of that.  Luckily she had this procedure on a Friday afternoon so she was able to go home and rest up during the weekend.  After one month of having her tooth on this bracket and pulling it down, her tooth got down low enough so they were able to pull off the chain and start getting the last part of her braces.  She will be one happy girl when they come off.

After surgery - and in the van trying to smile as much as possible.
