Priesthood & Birthday parties

Johnathan was so excited for this day to arrive where you would turn 12 and receive the Priesthood.  It was fun shopping with him for a suit for this special occasion.  After church we went to the Relief Society room with all of the wonderful family that came to have Johnathan ordained.  Everybody that could come from the family was there - such amazing family support.

Bishop Atwood was so awesome to talk to everybody about what an amazing boy and friend Johnathan is.  He talked about Johnathan's friendship with Tyler.  On one of the camp outs, Tyler had decided that he wasn't going to go until Johnathan called him a couple of days before to say that he wanted to have him be his tent buddy.  Tyler couldn't say "no" to Johnathan and ended up going on the camp out.  Bishop appreciated this as he wasn't able to talk Tyler into going, but a friend could.  Johnathan actually needed Tyler there more than Tyler realized at the time.  They are great friends and don't let the foot or more size difference keep them apart.  It really touched me as he was saying this.

Johnathan is such a great friend, loyal, and dependable boy.  He likes to stay on top of things never falling behind on homework, scouts or anything else.  He is my one child that doesn't need reminding about deadlines for school projects.  He will just get it done without complaining.  I love this boy so much!!!  He takes his new duties as a Deacon very seriously.

We came back to our house after church to have dinner with everybody and celebrate Johnathan & Camille's birthdays.  It was such a fun and enjoyable evening.  Johnathan wanted to help make his cake and pretty much did most of it by himself.  He loves anything sugary and had fun making it just the way he wanted.  Camille wanted sherbet dessert and make her dessert also.  These kids sure make my job so much easier :).

A week after Johnathan's birthday, we finally had time to go take him out to dinner with Byron & I.  He chose Chili's to eat.  He ate country fried steak for his meal.  One thing about Johnathan is that he LOVES to eat food that he likes.  One of those foods are mashed potatoes and gravy.  He was one happy little guy.  We had dessert to go since he was so full and ended up eating it the next day.  Love this guy!!!
