Harold Beck Family Reunion

The Harold Beck reunion as held at Fremont Indian State Park on July 12-14.  John and Sharon were in charge of the reunion this year so it was fun to support them.  Since Byron was gone, I decided to just attend for one day.  We left Friday morning and headed down to Cove Fort.  We met up with everybody else around 10 a.m.  It was really fun touring the cool facilities and learning about life down there.  Jeff & Emily were there with their family (minus Cooper) along with Eric & Melissa.  Then Uncle Mont, Aunt Linda, Jon & Shanelle's two oldest boys, Jared Ben & Cathy's family, and  Uncle Ken & Aunt Patty with Teresa.  It was a small group, but really fun to be able to go so we could get to know them better.  While at Cove Fort we were split into smaller groups so we didn't spend much time with the Meadows while there.

Cadan and Bradley - they have a beautiful garden that the missionaries grow each year - it put ours to shame.

Camille had fun driving us around to the different areas while in Fremont Indian park.  The kids cousins thought it was the best to ride with Camille.
The birthday girl - Mom Beck and Melissa made sure that Camille had a great birthday.  They had family bring a gift to Camille about every hour.  She sure had fun opening up something different all day long - they were so thoughtful to think of her.  She wasn't very happy to be spending her birthday away from home, but was such a great sport.

We went on a hike around the visitors center in the Fremont Indian Park.  Their were different Indian writings that were fun to look at.

There was this cool under the ground room that the kids had fun going into.  I enjoyed myself from above ground as I wasn't sure I wanted to attempt being buried alive.
We spent about 2 hours in the visitors center.  They had such fun areas for the kids to play in.  They had so much fun getting dressed up and exploring every inch of that place.

We hiked up to this cave called "100 Hands Cave."  Their were all of these hand prints inside of it.  While walking back we got a little bit of rain, but it didn't last too long.
Making some boondoggle key chains- the kids were all over this.

Bradley having fun playing horseshoes with Jacob Meadows and Cadan.
For the campfire we had a little devotional followed by singing.  Camille brought along her guitar and played while we sang some fun songs - "You Are My Sunshine," "How Much is that Doggy In The Window," "I've Been Working on the Railroad" and a few others.  There is nothing like singing in the outdoors especially with a guitar.

Carter having fun roasting marshmallows.  We were wimps that didn't want to camp out without the Byron's help.  We got a hotel in Richfield- about 20 minutes away.  It was a very fun and enjoyable day.  We are so blessed to have such amazing family surrounding us.

We got to the hotel pretty late.  Bradley ended up falling asleep while we were driving.  I told him that we would go swimming either that evening or in the morning.  By the time we arrived and checked in, the pool had closed.  The next morning we got up early to let those that wanted to go swimming.  Carter and Parker were very excited to go.  Bradley didn't wake up so Camille stayed in the room with him while we left for about 30 minutes.  The boys had fun swimming and didn't want to get out when it was time (like usual).  I was hoping Bradley would have forgotten about swimming, but the first things that came out of his mouth when he woke up was "Mom, remember you said that we could go swimming?"  How could I not let this sweet guy get his turn.  I quickly took him down so he got his 30 minutes of swim time also.  He went in all by himself while the rest of us watched.  It was fun to get away for such a quick little trip.  So glad we were able to attend.  We then headed home to see the boys and Byron come home from their week long scout camp.
