End of school and start of summer

The last day of school this year was on June 3rd.  I don't remember school ever going into the month of June.  The kids all had such wonderful teachers this year.

Camille had her last day of Junior High.  I had to get a picture with her on her last day in front of the school.  It is going to be weird having her in High School next year.  She grew very close to a couple of her teachers - Mrs. Tea (choir)  and Ms. Boren (drama).  They are going to be missed.  She spent so much time in each of their classrooms over the 3 years in Junior High.  At the beginning of May, she had auditions for the High School Musical Theater class for next year.  The two musicals that are put on during the year at the High School have their whole cast come from this class.  The competition was very tough.  She sang "Don't Rain On My Parade" for the singing part and also had a dancing part.  Out of around 160 that auditioned for this class, only 80 made it.  Camille was lucky enough to be one of them - a lot of her friends didn't however make it.  She was ecstatic!  The school will put on "Big the Musical" and "Pippin" next year.  She can't wait!

Tanner tried out for Arsenal soccer this year on June 1.  He was so excited to make it into a AAA division team.  He has so many of his friends in this soccer club and wanted to join it also.  Unfortunately he wasn't put into a team with his friends since they have been in Arsenal for a few years already.  Tanner is really excited to start and be in a more competitive soccer program.

We had fun eating outside for dinner.  The BBQ pit is always an exciting thing for these guys.  They can't all want to be the one who starts the fire.  After eating the boys all enjoyed playing some soccer together.

Johnathan joined in the fun.
On June 5th, the kids all had fun riding bikes in the front yard.  They were all taking turns showing me some cool tricks that they knew.
Camille with Bradley - kind of scary, but Camille is so good at roller blades I really didn't worry too much.

Crazy Carter showing off on his bike.

This swing was made by Camille & Johnathan for Bradley.  I have never seen anything entertain Bradley for so much time.  He wants to swing from the time he wakes up in the morning till late at night.  There have even been some times when I have left to run errands and come home to find Bradley outside all by himself on this swing.  I'm so glad my two children were so inventive to come up with a fun toy for him.
Camille trying out some cool tricks also.
On June 6th, Tanner & Camille left for Trek, so we had fun going to the Legacy Center while they were gone.  My kids are all such fish in the water and had a great time.
