Family Photo Shoot

We wanted to get a Beck family photo before Dad and Mom Beck left for their mission.  Since we really didn't have enough time to get somebody professional to do it, we decided to just take one during our 4th Sunday get-together while at our house.  I set up my camera with the timer and we took quite a few pictures.  I hope to become a lot better with my camera - they definitely weren't professional by any means, but at least we got some.  I wish the lighting was better, but for some reason it turned out a darker color than I wanted - oh well.  We had way too much fun and way too much goofiness going on in some of the pictures - not mentioning any names :).  (Parker - green, Carter - blue)

Deacon Ball

Tanner and Johnathan had fun participating in the Deacons basketball games through our Stake.  Brother Hamblin was so great to work with the boys.  Since my boys haven't really played basketball before, it was really fun to watch a new sport.  We were able to see a couple of the games and the boys did awesome.  I loved also watching Tanner helping Johnathan to know what different terms mean since this was his first basketball experience.  Johnathan even made a basket during the game which was really fun to see.

Presidents Day

With no school on President's Day and Byron not having to work, we decided to head over to the zoo.  We invited Grandpa and Grandma Beck, which was so much fun spending some time with them before heading out on their mission.  We had never seen the new bear area so we spent a lot of time checking them out - plus it was heated in the building so we enjoyed the warmth.  The animals were all so fun to watch and seemed pretty active.

We ate lunch at Chuck-O-Rama after the zoo.  It was so fun to sit and enjoy some awesome company.  We will sure miss them when they leave. 

February more pictures

On February 16, 2013 the Scouts attended the Klondike.  Byron was able to attend with both Tanner and Johnathan.  I don't think the cold really affects the boys at this age.  They all had a great time and loved being outside.  Below both  Johnathan (red coat) and Tanner (blue coat) enjoying the snow a little too much :).  The last picture the boys were making a fire with Johnathan in the bottom of the picture.  Johnathan said it was freezing, but he loved being able to slide down this huge hill next to their camp.  When they were practicing over at our park before the camp out, Johnathan got to ride in the sled because he was told he was one of the smallest in the troop.  He said it was very fun.

Cute Bradley reorganized our cups for us.  He sometimes surprises me with what he will do organizational wise.  Maybe I will have a clean child after all:).  I see this thinking every once in a while when he is playing with his toys or is putting away his soccer gear.  He is very methodical how he does certain things.

This is a cool view of the new temple sight in Provo where they have lowered the ground and put the temple on stilts so they can work on it.  It is amazing to see what they can do. 

The youth all had a combined activity where they were put into groups and had to see what meal they could make with the $5 they had.  Then all the teams came together and the judges decided whose meal was best.  Camille was in Byron's group.  It was fun to see them rush over to our house to make the breakfast meal they had purchased.  Camille took charge and was a great leader for this activity.

On February 22 Camille was able to participate in the Masterworks Festival in Orem.  She had been practicing for this concert for about 3 months learning some very hard songs to be sung with school from all around.  The concert was amazing.  They all did such a great job. 

Cute Ms. Nudd sat next to us during the concert and kept on passing down her chocolate candy bars for the kids to eat.  She is such an amazing role model for Camille.  She puts so much time into choir and is one outstanding teacher.  Camille has such a close bond with her.

Misc. pictures in February

I love these two so much.  They are such great friends most of the time which is so fun and precious to see as a mom.  I happened to walk into their room this night and saw them on the same bed (which happens quite often) with their arms around each other.  What cute boys!  (Parker at the top of the picture). 

The 3 youngest all had to make their valentine's boxes and put so much time and thought into them.  Carter made a cool tank, Parker a soccer game field that even had soccer players on it and Bradley a very colorful heart box.

 

 

 

 I was able to help at the class party for Mrs. Knutti's class (I was Carter and Parker's room mom split with another mother).  We had a great time with different stations.  The kids all had such a fun time.

Camille went around to different school all day singing Val-o-grams with Encore.  Camille was able to surprise her youngest 3 brothers by coming into their classrooms and singing to them.  Camille's Encore group kept on saying how cute Camille's brothers are.  Bradley was pretty embarrassed, but was a great sport.  Carter & Parker didn't even want to come up, but Camille forced them so they could be sang to.  I'm sure this will be something they will remember for many years to come.

I guess Lance Roberts brought these hats to Mrs. Knutti's class so they could try to confuse her by them all looking alike.  She got a kick out of them and took this cool picture.  George Sabin, another boy, Lance Roberts, Carter and Parker Beck.

Tanner had the fun opportunity to attend a Jazz game with the Teachers/Priests.  They were lucky enough to go into Alema Harrington's office to see where he works from in the Energy Solutions Arena.  They had a fun time together.
