Camille May Senior activities

Musical Theater Banquet - Camille's last Banquet was held at BYU.  She rode down with Becca and Britlyn.  Camille was able to get the "SOS Award - Save our Singing."  She also was awarded the "Outstanding Ensemble Actress Award for 2013-2014."  This award was given by the students all voting to decide who deserved it.  She was so excited and couldn't believe it.  I on the other hand think that she definitely deserves it and so happy for her.  What a great 3 years it has been with MDT.  She has thoroughly loved it and grateful for the opportunity she has had to meet such amazing people and be in such fun plays.

The Jimmies - This is up in Logan and has been put on by Michael Ballam for the past few years.  They give awards to high schools through out the state of Utah for the plays they have done that school year.  Lehi High School was nominated for their play "Shrek."  Camille was able to go and spend a Saturday there going to workshops and enjoying time together with her friends.  In the evening they were able to perform a song from Shrek along with winning "Best Supporting Actor to Noah Dixon for Lord Farquaad."  They also won "Best Costume design."  It was a fun but very late night for Camille as she returned home after midnight.

Camille is in the middle right behind Lizzy on the second row.
Encore - Last choir concert - Camille went to eat ice-cream at U-Swirl with Encore and Miss Nudd.

Camille will miss this amazing lady!  She has grown so close to Ms. Nudd over the past 3 years.  What an awesome person who has helped Camille so much through the years to prepare music for musicals, solos for choir and just for anything else.  Ms. Nudd is so talented in so many ways.  Ms. Nudd is actually leaving to go to England to return to school in September.  Camille made a collage of pictures to give her when she graduated along with a Hale Center Theater coupon to purchase tickets.  I don't think Ms. Nudd will ever know the impact she has had on Camille.
Facebook post - My sweet mom added these pictures on her Facebook page and put in this comment - "Camille is very talented musically. We love watching her perform in plays and concerts. She has a very sweet personality. It has been fun watching her grow into the beautiful young woman that she is."

Seminary Graduation - May 18, 2014 - Camille was able to graduate from Seminary and has had such amazing experiences with fabulous teachers the past 4 years.  I was able to attend with her once and the spirit is so strong.  She was asked to sing with 4 other youth "Come Thou Fount."  Little did she know at the time that her two best friends were also asked - Cara Sabin and Britlyn Hauver.  They did a great job.  Camille also lead the music for the graduation.  We were so lucky to have Jeremy/Sarah and kids, Dad and Mom Adamson, and Allyson and girls attend.  Camille is below with Madi Parkinson and Emily Wilcox.  Then I had to get a picture with the trio (Camille, Cara and Britlyn) - such beautiful ladies.

My sweet friend, Margarita was there for her son, Bruno's graduation also.  I have never had a picture with her and took the opportunity.  I have been her companion in visiting teaching for a few years now and she is just one of the sweetest people I have meet.

Family picture with practically everyone smiling (a first :)  Carter in purple tie and Parker in red tie.

I had to come home after the graduation and put my foot up (I will post about my surgery in another post).  It had been one week since surgery and since I hadn't been elevating my foot most of that day, I had amazing pressure around my leg area.  It felt great to elevate it.

High School Graduation - May 30, 2014 - (disclaimer - my camera decided to act up the day of her graduation.  I unfortunately didn't get any great pictures of Camille that didn't come off blurry with my Nikon camera.  Luckily we took some with our iPhones and we also bought some that the school took).
This was the collage Camille sent with her graduation announcements.
Before the graduation, we met at La Dolce Vita in Provo for dinner.  Camille was excited to eat some Italian food.  Dad and Mom Adamson met us there.  The food was delicious.  Then we headed over to the Marriott Center.  We got there early enough that we pretty much had an option of any seat in the house.  We went down towards the front and waited for about 1 1/2 hours until it started.  Camille's choir sang during the Graduation so she was able to be one of the first in line along with the choir.  They did a fabulous job singing and the graduation was really well put together.  The longest part was when each of the graduates came out individually to cross the stage.  With around 700 graduating, that is a lot of people.  Camille was probably one of the first 25 that crossed.  The students each posed by a letter "L" after their names were read and then they walked across to receive their diploma.  It was entertaining to see the different poses the students did.  Jeff, Emily and family, Michael Beck, Dad and Mom Adamson all attended.  What awesome family to come and sit through such a long program all for Camille.  I don't think the boys were as thrilled to sit so long, but luckily they had electronics to keep them entertained.  What a fabulous day!!!!  Hard to believe that my daughter has graduated.  Once she leaves for college reality will unfortunately set in.  Definitely not looking forward to that day.
