November

Cute Johnathan loved doing his coin collecting merit badge.  He totally got into this one and spent many hours putting his book together.  He had been collecting coins from where Byron travels for quite some time before.  He was really excited to finally be able to organize all of his coins into one place.  He had Byron pick up for him some coin inserts to slip each coin into.  Then he wrote on the outside of each coin where it was from.

He had read when handling money, you need to wear gloves to make sure your hand grease doesn't get on the coins.  He took this part very seriously especially when others tried to handle his coins without them.  He got mad at Byron for grabbing a coin to figure out where it was from even though Byron brought them back no problem with no gloves from these countries:).  This boy was so excited to finish this merit badge and did an outstanding job on it.
I started making quilts for Carter & Parker back in April when a good friend of mine offered to help me make them.  We bought the material back in April and then it just took forever to get around to sewing each step and doing them.  I suggest starting on a project like this with one quilt at a time:).  Carter & Parker are so excited to have them finished and are my cheering squad to get them done one day.  I love how DeeDee helped me sew their names on each blanket.  Lisa, my neighbor, let me borrow her quilting frames for the tying part.  I am now needing to finish off the outside edge and they will be finished.

Parker made this at school and was so proud of it.  He did a great job!
Tanner played inside soccer during the winter - he really enjoyed it and did really well.  He is in the white with the orange shoes.

Carter & Parker had to make cookies for Bears and were excited to finish this accomplishment.  Their dad was so patient to walk them step by step through the instructions.  Luckily there are mixes which speed up the process drastically.
We went to the Church Museum next to Temple Square and had fun with the children's exhibit.  (Carter green, Parker blue)

This was a replica of the golden plates and boy was it heavy.

Each year the 6th graders participate in Temples and Tombs.  Johnathan enjoyed learning the fun songs and had a lot of activities and weeks of learning about the Egyptians.  Luckily we had the costume down from Tanner and just had to pull it out of the boxes.
Camille had a carnival with the play, Big, that she performed at the High School.  Johnathan had fun participating in the donut eating contest and Carter got a cool dinosaur drawn on his face.
Byron took us all out shooting.  It was a little chilly, but we had no complaints with the kids.  They love anything they can do with their dad, especially when it includes shooting guns.  We had fun rounding up pop cans, bottles and anything else that can be shoot.  We drove about 20 min. from our house out to BLM land and had fun.  Bradley enjoyed using the pellet airsoft gun and the rest used the 22, BB gun, shot gun.

I found this drawing that Bradley had drawn and was impressed.  It is of our family.
At the elementary school, for Drama the kids were able to participate in a pirates play.  There were a lot of really fun songs along with some dialogue.  Johnathan was the first mate for his grade and had a lot of speaking parts that he did amazing at.

Carter & Parker had a fun time doing it and really got into the music part.  Bradley still sings some parts of the songs they sang - they are really fun and have catchy tunes.
