Anniversary Get-A-Way

Since our anniversary always falls during the Beck Reunion, we decided to celebrate a little early with a quick get-a-way.  On July 6th we went up by Temple Square to enjoy some yummy Ruth's Chris for dinner.  We had been to this restaurant a couple of times with Byron's work, but never alone when we were paying.  Our food was delicious along with the most beautiful atmosphere and company.  Byron got his broccoli, steak & salad while I had some stuffed chicken, sweet potato pie and a salad.  Some of the most divine and amazing food I have ever tasted!

After dinner we checked into our hotel at the Marriott.  Our room was really nice.  We ventured off to enjoy seeing City Creek - we had never been before and loved walking around together.  I loved shopping and browsing at all of the really cool shops.  We also loved watching a fun fountain. 

More than anything, I loved having Byron all to myself.  It was great to reconnect and spend time together without any distractions.  Melissa was awesome to stay with the kids while we enjoyed this time together.  The next day we got home apparently earlier than anyone had expected.  The kids almost didn't want us there.  They love their Aunt Melissa!

City Creek - love the fun atmosphere there.

We have been married 17 years.  I am the luckiest women alive to have Byron in my life.  So much has happened in the time we have been married.  I cannot believe that we have 7 beautiful children to call our own.  We have lived in 4 places - 2 of them homes we bought.  So many amazing people have entered our lives during this time just when we needed them most.  Byron working for Nu Skin for 17 years.  We are so blessed!!!  Cannot wait to see what to see what the next 17 years bring.
