Memorial Day Weekend definitely would not be the same without visiting the graves. We met Saturday morning at the American Fork cemetery. Before we met up with the family, we visited my Grandpa & Grandma Adamson's grave. What amazing people! I am so excited to see these two again one day and introduce them to my children. Some of my kids remember Grandma Adamson, but my Grandpa died when I was 16 years old. I am glad we live so close to their grave so I have the opportunity to see it and tell my children about these amazing people. I wish we lived closer to Bothwell, UT where my other grandparents are buried to have the same opportunity with them.
Bradley recognizes his name and found it on this gravestone as he was walking around. He was so cute to pose for me for this picture.Parker cleaning off the grave of Byron & Margaret Beck.
Carter, Johnathan & Tanner in a really cool tree in the American Fork cemetery.
Parker is named after Robert Nevin Cooper. He looks forward to getting his picture next to this grave in Lehi every year.
All of the grandchildren at a cool place in the Lehi cemetery where there were many pinwheels. Clara, Britta, Camille, Parker, Johnathan, Tanner, Parker, Timothy & Bradley
Our Sweet Johanna - how different our life would be with two girl teenagers. It makes me laugh to think how great of friends Camille and Johanna would be. They would be in 8th and 9th grade - same school. Probably both boy crazy and love to hang out with their friends. The dynamics of our home would change so much with two girls at the front and then 5 boys. One day, I KNOW we will get to know what this sweet spirit will be like - I can't wait for that day!!! Until then little Johanna will always be a memory of a sweet little girl that was loved by both her older sister and parents. She had the softest skin, tender little spirit, hated to be in her car seat, and loved being held.
In the Salt Lake Cemetery, we had a group picture. Fun to have us all together - thank goodness for timers on cameras.
Johnathan, Eric & Tanner cleaning off Aunt Doris' grave.
Cute brothers - Parker & Carter.
After the cemeteries, we headed back to Grandpa & Grandma Beck's home for a BBQ and fun. Jeff, Emily and kids met up at the house. Grandpa made "huge" hot dogs that Bradley had fun eating. Carter, Alyssa & Clara eating together.
The dedicated cook!
All 4 brothers together- Jeremy, Eric, Byron & Jeff.
Johnathan, Cameron, Ashlyn, Parker, Carter & Alyssa.
Fun time at Grandma's wouldn't be the same without some jump roping time. Parker having way too much fun playing "speed."
That evening we surprised Dad Beck with a "Retirement Party" at Golden Coral. His last day of work was May 31st. It was fun pulling out some fun gifts we each got him for his retirement. Byron had too much fun with this part and ended up ordering a few online for him. What a huge milestone to retire, especially at a young age.
The whole group minus all of the kids that stayed back at Grandpa & Grandma's to play.
