All of the youth were invited to attend Youth Conference this year. They had the awesome experience of going rafting at Jackson Hole. We have such an amazing Bishopric and Youth Leaders who dedicated so much time to make this a fun experience.The theme for Youth Conference was "What's Your True Identity?" - focusing on the Incredibles movie.
All of the Youth were split into families. Camille's family was Brother Johnson (Grandpa), Sister Young (Grandma), Brady John (Dad), Ashley Workman (Mom), Kia Slaugh (kid), Kereamy Finai (kid), Alex Mickelson (kid), and Camille (kid).
They left at 6:00 a.m. July 16th and headed to Jackson Hole. They slept in tents - Camille was with most of the Beehives in her tent. They went to Jenny Lake that afternoon and hiked around it in Teton National Forest. They took a boat across the lake then hiked for about 3 miles. All of these pictures were taken at Jenny Lake.
They ate Cafe Rio style food for dinner. Camille couldn't quit talking about how delicious this meal was. Her family was in charge of helping prepare this meal.

Friday they went down the river two separate times. Camille was very scared the first time, especially for the biggest wave. There were 6 boats for our ward. Camille was in the biggest boat with Bishop Jensen, Brother Hampton, Regina Urry, Reggie Northrup, Brother Kasch, Enola Kasch, and Madison Parkinson. Brother Kasch was the guide on their boat. The first time they went down the river Camille felt like it took so long. Camille loved working together to have a fun time.That night they had a fireside and testimony meeting. They were right on the lake with a beautiful view. They could even see fireworks above the lake during testimony meeting.
Saturday morning they headed back. Hopefully we can get some pictures of the rafting part from leaders who attended.

Sounds like a lot of fun, Camille! My first time rafting was at Jackson Hole, also! And, I have been rafting there and other places many times since then. What a fun youth conference!
The pictures are beautiful. Camille what a wonderful experience. I have pitures of me with my parents at Jenny's Lake but I'm not exactly sure where it is. Is it on your way to Yellowstone before you go through the main entrance?
What an awesome Youth Conference! That would take A LOT of planning and effort for sure -- but what a neat experience for the youth. Beautiful pictures too! I want to go there for a vacation just from seeing them!
